Pick up from your hotel at 7:30 heading north of FES, into the RIF mountains, driving through the olive groves and fertile land rich of agricultural crops of trees and vegetables,it will be 3:30 hours drive to CHEFCHAOUEN with few panoramic stops . Lunch will be in one of the little restaurants facing the KASBAH. CHEFCHAOUEN, or the blue city as it is called, very famous in Morocco, it is a historical town situated at the slop of the mountain TALSEMTAN; built in the valley RAS EI Ma crowned by two peaks from which the city got the original name ECHAOUEN, the Amazigh word means the horns. It was founded at the beginning of the 17th century by the famous and the leader of Sufism in that time, at the RIF mountains, Moulay ALI BEN RACHID: after returning back from the Andaloucia, back to defend, and fight against the European attacks, and invasions. His shrine is out doors of the old fort which he founded and defended for a long time of his life, close to a mosque taking his name, the high lights of the journey walk in city are the KASBAH, OUTA HMMAM, the blue doors and streets, the old FONDOUK, the RAS ELMA water springs and the walk up to the Spanish mosque. Trekking at the national park TALSEMTAN .Back to FES to your hotel late at the afternoon.
